BASIC COURSE IN MEDICAL EDUCATION ORGANIZED BY MEU
Basic Course in Medical Education Workshop (BCME) was organized by Medical Education Unit, KMCT Medical College under the observership of NMC Regional Center of Medical Education Technologies,Kozhikode from 21.02.2024 to 23.02.2024.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Vijish Venugopal, Principal KMCT Medical College. Dr Divya G Krishnan, MEU Coordinator welcomed the participants and introduced the program itinerary. Dr Rebecca James, NMC appointed observer for the workshop gave her valuable insights during the event.
The 3day long faculty development workshop introduced the participants to key concepts in medical education like domains of learning, teaching-learning techniques & assessment methods. The workshop reinforced the principles of Competency based medical education, roles of Indian Medical Graduate, skills to teach Attitude,ethics & communication to medical students, effective use of Skill labs for Skill teaching and assessments. Enthusiam & active participation of the faculty was encouraged through interactive sessions, brain stormers, role plays, fun activities and in-session quizzes and debates. The program concluded on 23.2.24 with certification ceremony of the participants
